life’s greatest question
How can you have Eternal Life?

Realize your hopeless state:
Man is born a sinner and chooses to sin, thus separating himself from a holy God (Romans 3:23; Ephesians 2:12). Man has violated God’s perfect standard of righteousness (Galatians 3:22-26; James 2:10). He is condemned, awaiting the judgment of God (Matthew 23:33; 25:46; John 3:18; Hebrews 9:27).
Recognize the useless efforts to remove your sin:
If man could remove his own sin by some good works (baptism, prayers, deeds, etc.), there would have been no need for Christ to come (Ephesians 2:8-9; Titus 3:5). He could have stayed in heaven, while man worked or earned his way there. But Christ became sin for man, dying for man’s sins on the cross (2 Corinthians 5:21). Jesus, as the perfect Lamb of God, met and satisfied the holy requirements demanded by God (Isaiah 53:10-12). Christ is the only bridge to God the Father (John 14:6; 1 Timothy 2:5).
Repent, believe, and receive the gift of salvation through Jesus Christ:
Repentance is a change of mind that leads to a change of action (Luke 13:3; Acts 20:21; 26:20; 2 Corinthians 7:10). The unsaved must change their mind about their own sin and futile efforts to remove it and turn to Jesus, believing Who He is and what He has done (Romans 10:9-10). Salvation is not a combination of faith and works, but faith alone (Romans 11:6). This conversion is instantaneous and immediate and results in a new spiritual birth and life (John 3:3-8; 5:24: 2 Corinthians 5:17). The demands for sin’s payment have been met by Christ. Since salvation is unearned or merited, it is called a gift (Romans 6:23). You need only to receive it (John 1:12; Acts 13:39; 16:31; Romans 10:13).
My friend, be saved now! Tomorrow may be too late.
“Behold, now is the accepted time; behold now is the day of salvation” (2 Corinthians 6:2). Be assured of heaven (1 John 5:13) by trusting Christ alone (Colossians 2:10). By His own actions, seriously consider how much Christ loves you! Let the goodness and grace of God persuade you to become His child today!
My prayer for salvation to the Lord
Praise the Lord! You are now a Christian, not because you necessarily feel any different, but because you have been obedient to what the Bible says we are to do. Read 1 John 5:13.
As a newborn infant must drink milk to grow, so you, as a new child of God, must read the Bible to grow (1 Peter 2:2). Christians are to find a Bible-believing church to help nurture their faith and to learn how to please the Lord (Colossians 2:6-7).
